Kim Haasarud

Kim Haasarud is a nationally recognized mixologist and beverage consultant, working with hundreds of liquor brands, restaurants and hotels across the country in helping to create successful cocktail and bar programs.  While she has a strong grasp on current trends, she also understands large-scale operations and is sensitive to their specific needs. Her expertise and skills include: TV appearances and demos, drink development, bar design consultation, training, trend analysis & reports and menu design.

Haasarud’s liquid cuisine has stirred up a huge following on both coasts.  She works with both large and small groups and multitude of different concepts such as: PF Changs, OMNI, BJ’s Brewhouse, et al as well as dozens of beverage and alcohol brands.  Kim has been a judge on Iron Chef America, as well doing guest appearances on the “The Today Show,” CBS’ “Early Morning Show,” “Fox & Friends Live”, “Sonoran Living” and “Your Life A to Z”. She has been featured on various radio programs including “Good Food” with Evan Kleiman, Martha Stewart’s “Everyday Food”, “Cosmo Radio” and ABC & CNN Radio syndicate.  Her cocktails have been seen in over a hundred magazines and newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington Post, Saveur, Edible LA, Vogue, SELF, Wine Enthusiast, BRIDES, Woman’s World, Lucky, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Associated Press to name a few.  

Kim is the author of the best-selling “101... “ cocktail series with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (101 Margaritas, 101 Martinis, 101 Sangrias & Pitcher Drinks, 101 Champagne Cocktails, 101 Blended Drinks, 101 Mojitos and other Muddled Drinks 101 Tropical Drinks and 101 Shots.

She currently lives with her husband Kevin, two children Holden & Maddy, and dog Emi in Phoenix, AZ.  She is a producer of Arizona Cocktail Week, Apres Ski Cocktail Classic (in Aspen) and is the SW Regional VP of the USBG (United States Bartenders Guild).  Her most recent endeavor is Rattle & Rum, a craft cocktail catering company that specializes in creating beverage experiences for events (large and small scale), having coined the term “fast-craft”.
