Lisa Mercer

Lisa has been a hospitality professional for 25+ years, having begun her career in Catering/Special Events. As is common in the hotel industry, she worked in several different cities around the country before settling in the Phoenix area 2003, where she joined Starwood (now Marriott) as Director of Catering & Event Management at The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa. Five exciting years there prepared her for a transfer to Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass where she added Director of Food & Beverage responsibilities to her role and supported that property for seven years. The opportunity to transition to The Phoenician in 2016 was an offer she couldn’t refuse, and Lisa has been the F&B Director there ever since. Notable accomplishments at The Phoenician include re-concepting five restaurants during the multi-million dollar transformation of the property in 2016-2018.

Food and beverage is also Lisa's passion outside of work, whether celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary at The French Laundry, introducing her young nephews (ages 9 and 11) to cutting edge cuisine at Binkley’s, or conquering her first champagne-sabering experience using a dear friend’s inherited WW1 service sword. All Lisa's favorite adventures encompass food and drink, with every day an opportunity to create a new and exciting memory.
