Shannan is the new Publisher & Editor of edible Phoenix, a fitting culmination to her decades-long career in the Phoenix food and drink industry. She worked with Hillstone Restaurant Group for five years, was a founding team member for Pei Wei Asian Diner, and did stints at Fox Restaurant Group, Tarbell’s and Troon before starting her own consulting business, del Tavolo.

A graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in English, she is currently enrolled in the Diploma in Wine program through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. She also holds certifications through The Court of Master Sommeliers America and the Society of Wine Educators. Shannan’s curious spirit makes her a “forever student” of the industry and she is constantly looking forward to what she might learn next.

Married to a wonderful man who loves to eat. In addition to cooking and baking, Shannan enjoys fermenting, gardening and chasing after her two Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, Charli and Dutch.
